Financial Reporting Accountant (12-Month Contract) | Up to £60,000 | Hybrid | St Helens

The Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Reporting Accountant will be a key player in delivering accurate, insightful, and timely financial reporting to underpin critical business decisions. This is a great chance to work within a dynamic finance team while enjoying a hybrid working pattern for that all-important work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards
Supporting year-end and interim audit processes, acting as the key contact for external auditors
Ensuring robust financial controls are maintained and documented
Preparing technical accounting papers where required
Month-end reporting activities, including reconciliations and journals
Preparing consolidated accounts for group reporting
Balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
Providing financial analysis and commentary to senior stakeholders
Assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards or group policies
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting processes
